The Community Advocacy Team is holding two candidate debates for our county-level offices. We have invited the candidates for each contested race:
County Commission Dist. 2

- Charles Eaton (D)
County Treasurer
- Ron Saiz (R) – Incumbent
- Michelle Tafoya (D)
County Clerk
- Mike Milam (R) – Incumbent
- Rustin Porter (D)
The debates will be:
Friday, September 27th from 5 – 7pm at the Belen Public Library and
Friday, October 5th from 5 – 7pm at the Los Lunas Transportation Center.
Each candidate will have a chance to introduce themselves briefly and then the moderator will ask prepared questions. The audience may submit questions via notecard and we will try and ask as many of them as time permits. Local elections have a huge impact on our communities, so please attend and listen to each candidate and their vision for Valencia County.
